Holiday Festivities

So, what did we do for Christmas?

First of all we started with joining our German friends Chris and Klaus at a Christmas Eve dinner and celebration. It is part of their culture to have a fish meal, light the candles on the Xmas tree and do story readings either about the holiday or just observations on life.

Michael and I contributed to the dinner by making his famous fish with tomatoes and capers and I made Etel's plum cake.

Christmas Day was quiet with dinner at the home of Michael's cousin Claude's step daughter and family - Tracey and Petri. Fortunately our hosts have twin 7 year-old daughters who made the day feel more like Christmas. We had a lovely meal and a few jumps on the new trampoline. and Emma got a lamb bone!

Of course my birthday and New Year's were soon to follow but we can catch up on that another time.
